Village House for Rent
 
Location: The house is a 200 year old stone house on the edge of the village of Lacapelle Biron (all basic services are available here e.g. baker, butcher, pharmacy etc), on the border between Lot-et-Garonne and Dordogne (suggest you look it up on the internet if possible). The village is close to beautiful bastide market towns such as Monpazier and Monflanquin and is surrounded by lush woods and fields. The nearest airport is Bergerac (45minutes drive away) and Bordeaux airport is only 2.5 hours away.
 
Property: The house has four bedrooms - sleeps at least nine (13 and more if you include numerous sofa beds), three bathrooms, large living room, large kitchen/dining room, utility room and extra toilet. It contains a range of electrical items including: TVs (satellite channels), DVD player, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, large gas oven etc. Also available in the house are things such as games, books, kiddy toys (if needed), bikes, BBQ etc. It has a good central heating system. There is a large garden, with patios for outside eating. It has no pool, but there is great swimming in local lakes and swimming baths.
 
Activities: There is an incredible amount to do in the local area including: sightseeing at castles/chateaux, gardens, parks, caves; visiting local markets; wine tasting; canoeing; horse riding; walking/picnicking.
 
Price: For August the rent is GBP 650 per week and for September it is GBP 450 per week (unfortunately these are high season months). This includes utilities, linen and beds being made up on arrival. The house is currently available from 2 August onwards. For off season times the rates are much lower!!
